Built on research.
Not guesswork.

Every signal in the composite score is drawn from peer-reviewed academic research on what actually drives stock price momentum.

// 01 · Jegadeesh & Titman (1993)
Relative Strength Rank

The most replicated factor in finance: stocks that outperformed peers over the past 63 days tend to continue outperforming. We rank every stock in the universe and score the top 30% most favorably.

// 02 · George & Hwang (2004)
52-Week High Position

Stocks near their 52-week high face less psychological resistance and tend to break higher. Stocks far from their high have more overhead supply. We measure proximity and factor it into the score.

// 03 · Bernard & Thomas (1989)
EPS Surprise Momentum

After an earnings beat, prices drift upward for months as the market slowly reprices — a phenomenon called PEAD. We track recent earnings surprises so you see this opportunity before it fully plays out.

// 04 · Blume, Easley & O'Hara (1994)
Volume & OBV Flow

Rising prices with rising volume signal institutional accumulation. On-Balance Volume (OBV) tracks cumulative buying pressure. We check both to confirm whether price moves are supported by real demand.

// 05 · Independent
RSI Entry Timing

The Relative Strength Index identifies overbought and oversold conditions independent of trend direction. We score stocks in the 35–65 RSI range as having the most favorable entry timing.

// 06 · Market Context
Regime + VIX + Sector

The same stock behaves differently in a bull market vs. a bear market. We detect the current regime, measure VIX fear levels, and apply sector rotation context so scores always reflect current conditions.

Questions.

What does TradingAI Desk actually do?

TradingAI Desk is a market analysis platform. It collects real-time price data for major US stocks, calculates a composite technical score based on 8 academically-validated signals, and displays ATR-based volatility reference levels for each stock. It does not execute trades, manage money, or provide investment advice. All decisions are made by you, through your own brokerage account.

Is this investment advice?

No. TradingAI Desk is a software tool that provides technical analysis data. It is not a registered investment advisor and does not provide investment advice, recommendations, or trading signals. All information is for educational and informational purposes only. You should consult a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

What brokerage do I need?

None required to use TradingAI Desk. The platform provides analysis only — you place your own trades through any brokerage you already use, including Fidelity, Charles Schwab, TD Ameritrade, Interactive Brokers, Robinhood, or any other US-regulated broker.

What is the composite score?

The composite score (0–100) combines 8 independent technical signals: Relative Strength Rank, 52-Week High Position, EPS Surprise Momentum, Volume/OBV Flow, RSI Timing, Macro/VIX context, News Sentiment, and Market Breadth. Each signal is weighted according to its statistical support in academic research. A higher score means more signals are aligned — it does not predict or guarantee any outcome.

What do the ATR-based price levels mean?

These levels are calculated mathematically using Average True Range (ATR) — a standard volatility measure applied to each stock's recent price action. They represent statistical price boundaries based purely on historical volatility. They are not recommendations of any kind. How you use this information — or whether you use it at all — is entirely your own decision.

How does the 14-day free trial work?

The annual plan includes a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged for 14 days. Cancel before day 14 and you will not be billed. After 14 days, the annual subscription of $299 begins. The monthly plan ($39/month) does not include a free trial period.

What data sources does TradingAI Desk use?

We use Polygon.io and Finnhub — professional-grade financial data providers with commercial licenses. All data is sourced legally under their respective terms of service. Data is updated in real time during US market hours.
